Man Killed In Chicago Lawn

(STMW) -- A man was shot and killed Thursday evening in the Southwest Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

Demarcus Boswell, 18, was in the 2800 block of West 71st Street at 4:52 p.m. when he was shot in the face and torso, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

Boswell, of the 3300 block of West 65th Street, was taken to Holy Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:37 p.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

The man shot was a documented gang member, according to police. Further details about the circumstances surrounding the shooting were not yet known Thursday evening.
