Man Killed In Austin Drive-By

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.

The 56-year-old man was in the 100 block of North Leamington Avenue about 1:35 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up and someone inside fired shots, police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney said.

The man has been identified as Albert Glover, who lived in the same block where he was shot, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was shot in the back and left leg and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 2:21 p.m., according to police and the medical examiner's office.
