Man Killed, Another Wounded In South Shore Shooting

(STMW) -- A 20-year-old man was killed and an 18-year-old man wounded in a shooting Monday afternoon in the South Shore neighborhood, according to Chicago Police.

The shooting happened in the 7400 block of South South Shore Drive about 2:05 p.m., police said.

The 20-year-old was shot in the head, arm and abdomen and pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office could not immediately confirm the fatality.

The younger man, 18, was shot in the armpit and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where his condition stabilized, police said.
