Man Fatally Shot Near O'Hare Airport On Northwest Side

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 23-year-old man was fatally shot Sunday afternoon on the Northwest Side, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the head about 4:15 p.m. in the 5300 block of North Cumberland, police said. Details on the circumstances of the shooting were unknown.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately release information on the fatality.

No one is in custody and Area North detectives are investigating.
