CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot and killed Friday morning in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 10:40 a.m., the 24-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds while he was standing in an alley in the 1200 block of West 70th Street, said police News Affairs Officer Jose Estrada.

Alonzo Williams, who lives in that same block, was shot three times in the right leg and once in the upper chest, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where he was pronounced dead at 2:06 p.m., the medical examiner's office said.
