Man Dies After Being Pulled From Jackson Park Harbor

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man died Wednesday morning after he was pulled from the water of Jackson Park Harbor on the South Side, police said.

Someone flagged down a squad car about 4:45 a.m. after they spotted a person in the water off the 6500 block of South Promontory Drive, according to Chicago Police.

The 25-year-old man was pulled from the water and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The Cook County medical examiner's office did not immediately confirm the fatality.
