Man Dies After Apparent Fall Outside Lakeview Apartment
CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 25-year-old man died after an apparent fall near his Lakeview apartment last week.
Emergency crews responded at 2:01 a.m. to a building in the 700 block of West Briar Place, where they found the man on the ground with a head injury, according to Chicago Police.
He was taken to Illinois Masonic Medical Center and pronounced dead Saturday afternoon at an organ donation center, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office.
The windows of the man's apartment unit were closed, and nothing else at the scene seemed "askew," police said.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday. Area North detectives are conducting a death investigation.
