Man Critically Wounded In West Pullman Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 27-year-old man was shot and critically wounded in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side Tuesday night.

About 8:50 p.m., officers responding to a call of shots fired in the 11600 block of South Throop Street found him on a sidewalk with gunshot wounds to the chest, abdomen and hand, police said.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition.

Police said the man shot is a documented gang member and he wasn't cooperating with investigators.
