Man Critically Wounded In Humboldt Park Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 25-year-old man was critically wounded in a Humboldt Park neighborhood shooting on the West Side late Monday.

He was driving with a passenger in his car about 10:25 p.m. in the 500 block of North Kedzie Avenue when shots rang out and he was struck in the upper back, police said.

His passenger took the wheel and drove him to Norwegian American Hospital, and he later was transferred to Stroger Hospital in critical condition, police said.

The injured man has documented gang ties, police said.
