Man Critically Injured In Antioch ATV Crash

(STMW) -- A man was critically injured in an all-terrain vehicle crash early Saturday in north suburban Antioch.

Two ATVs were headed eastbound on West Grass Lake Road near Lake Shore Drive in unincorporated Antioch when one of the drivers, a 32-year-old man, lost control, according to a statement from the Lake County sheriff's office.

The ATV rolled over and the man was ejected, the sheriff's office said. He was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville in critical condition.

The Lake County Sheriff's Technical Crash Investigations Unit is investigating to determine whether drugs, alcohol or roadway conditions were a factor in the crash.
