Man Dies After Being Shot, Crashing Into Bus Shelter

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man died Wednesday morning, after he was shot while driving in the Roseland neighborhood, and then crashed into a bus shelter.

Police said the man, believed to be in his 20s, crashed into a bus shelter at 93rd Street and Cottage Grove Avenue around 6:20 a.m.

Paramedics discovered the man had been shot three times in the lower abdomen and once in the lower back, and he was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition. He later was pronounced dead.

No one else was in the vehicle at the time.

Area South detectives were investigating.
