Man Charged With Trying To Abduct Girl From Lincolnshire Home

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. (CBS) -- A 21-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly punching and trying to kidnap a girl as she walked into her Lincolnshire home on Wednesday.

Lincolnchire police said they were called to a home on Wilshire Drive around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday, for a report of an attack.

A girl at the home told police a man wearing a hood grabbed and punched and punched her as she was entering the home, but she was able to get free and call police.

Officers located a man matching the suspect's description near the home and arrested him. The suspect, 21-year-old Daniel Bockenhauer, of Huntley, was charged with aggravated attempted kidnapping, and aggravated battery.

Bockenhauer was being held without bail at the Lake County Jail, according to the Lake County Sheriff's office.
