CHICAGO (STMW) -- A south suburban man has been charged with shooting two people at a Roseland neighborhood party Saturday night on the Far South Side.

Manus Shannon, 27, of the 12800 block of South Irving Avenue in Blue Island, faces one felony count of reckless discharge of a firearm, according to Chicago Police.

The men, ages 20 and 24, were at the backyard party in the 9200 block of South Forest when Shannon opened fire, according to police. The younger man was shot in the shoulder and the older in the hand.

They took themselves to Roseland Community Hospital about 9:20 p.m. and their conditions stabilized, police said.

Shannon was ordered held on a $100,000 bond in court Monday, according to the Cook County state's attorney's office. His next court date is scheduled for July 10.
