Man Charged With Shooting At Logan Square House Party

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man has been charged with shooting another man during an argument at a house party in the Logan Square neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

Julian Zamora, 23, was charged with aggravated battery, unlawful use of a weapon and aggravated assault, all felonies, according to Chicago Police.

About 1:20 a.m. Nov. 26, Zamora and a 23-year-old man were at a house party in the 3800 block of West Palmer when they got into an argument, police said. Zamora shot the younger man in both legs.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

Zamora, of the 5300 block of West Parker, was arrested at 12:44 a.m. Nov. 26 in the 2100 block of North Springfield after he was positively identified as the shooter, police said.

He was ordered held on a $900,000 bond at the Cook County Jail, and is next scheduled to appear in court Dec. 21, according to the sheriff's office.
