Man Charged With Robbing West Suburban 7-Eleven

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A 24-year-old man was charged for allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven in west suburban Glen Ellyn last week.

William D. Kendrick, of the 300 block of Klein Creek Court in Carol Stream, has been charged with a felony count of aggravated robbery, according to a statement from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office.

The robbery occurred at a 7-Eleven on Park Boulevard in Glen Ellyn at 12:30 a.m. Dec. 20. It is alleged that Kendrick robbed the store clerk and fled the area, according to the statement.

Kendrick was arrested Dec. 21 by the Romeoville Police Department "for a similar incident" and sheriff's detectives were able to identify him as the suspect in the Glen Ellyn robbery, according to the statement.

Kendrick is currently being held in the Will County Jail.
