Man Charged With Robbing Convenience Store In Loop

(STMW) -- A man has been charged with robbing a Loop convenience store earlier this month.

Ardamis Simms, 35, is charged with two counts of robbery while being armed with a gun, Chicago Police said in a statement.

Simms was identified as the man who entered the store in the 100 block of North Franklin at 4:45 a.m. on Dec. 5, police said. He allegedly fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

Simms, of the 4800 block of South Champlain, is scheduled to appear in bond court Sunday.
