Man Charged With Robbing 7-Eleven In Niles

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A northwest suburban man has been charged Tuesday with robbing a Niles 7-Eleven in November.

Martell Flippins, 26, entered 7-Eleven, 7450 Oakton St., at 3:05 a.m. on Nov. 7 and made off with a bag of money from the register after he showed the clerk he had a gun, Niles police said in a statement.

He was arrested in Des Plaines after police linked him to a similar robbery in the northwestern suburb.

Flippins, of the 2200 block of Nichols in Arlington Heights, was charged with one count of aggravated robbery, police said. He had previously been charged with five other gas station and convenience store robberies in Des Plaines, Arlington Heights and Glenview.
