Man Charged With Home Invasion, Sexual Assault In West Chicago

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A west suburban man has been charged with breaking into a home and sexual assaulting a woman early Tuesday in West Chicago.

Henry Morales, 28, was charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, home invasion and armed robbery, according to a statement from the DuPage County sheriff's office.

About 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, Morales broke into a home through the garage in the Oak Meadows subdivision near Route 59 and North Avenue in unincorporated West Chicago, according to prosecutors.

He was taken into custody about half an hour later.

"This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community," prosecutors said.

Morales, of the 50 block of Armitage Avenue in Glendale Heights, was ordered held on a $1 million bond Thursday morning.
