Man Charged In Shooting At Washington Heights Barbershop
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man has been charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting at a barbershop that left another man gravely wounded early Saturday in the Washington Heights neighborhood on the South Side.
Ideary Mooney, 38, faces one felony count of first-degree attempted murder after he opened fire in a barbershop about 2:45 a.m. in the 9000 block of South Ashland Avenue, police said.
A 34-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the abdomen, legs and groin and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said. He was listed in critical condition early Monday.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, police said.
Mooney, of the 1200 block of West 74th Place, is scheduled to appear in bond court Monday.
