Man And Woman Shot In West Pullman

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man and a woman were shot early Tuesday in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

About 1:35 a.m., the two were passengers in a vehicle in the 0 – 100 block of East 121st Street, when they were shot by at least one offender from another vehicle, police said.

The driver, who was not injured, took them to Roseland Community Hospital, police said.

The 33-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to the chest and was transferred to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in critical condition, police said. Police said the man is affiliated with a gang.

The 21-year-old woman was shot in the back, and was listed at Roseland Hospital in "stable" condition, police said.

No one was in custody as Area South detectives investigate.
