Man And Dog Shot In West Englewood

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A man and a dog were shot Sunday afternoon in the West Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

The 23-year-old man was in the 1500 block of West Marquette at 12:35 p.m. when a group of males ran through a nearby gangway and one of the males opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the buttocks and thigh and taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital, police said.

The dog was also struck in the leg in the bullet.
