Man Accused Of Shooting At Pedestrians Before Boarding CTA Bus
(STMW) -- A Joliet man allegedly shot at pedestrians early Thursday on a busy Uptown street, then hopped on a CTA bus, the Sun-Times reports.
Marcus Dixon, of the 300 block of North Broadway, allegedly fired once in the direction of pedestrians outside the Wilson CTA station about 6:40 p.m., then fired two more shots "downward," Cook County prosecutors said Saturday. Witnesses saw him then board a CTA bus heading south at Racine and Broadway.
Witnesses called police with a description and police curbed the bus.
Dixon, 22, was found in a back seat with a semi-automatic pistol under his seat, prosecutors said. Police also found ammunition on him, according to a police report.
No one was injured in the shooting.
Judge Donald Panarese Jr. ordered Dixon held in lieu of $400,00 bail on Saturday.
