CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man and five children were hurt in a single-vehicle crash Friday on the Far South Side.

A 2000 Ford Expedition was travelling west on 103rd Street about 9:50 a.m. when it turned right onto South Cottage Grove Avenue, lost control and hit a light pole, police said.

The driver, an 18-year-old man, and four girls--a 6-year-old, a 7-year-old and two 14-year-olds--were taken to Advocate Trinity Hospital in good condition, police said.

A 3-year-old girl was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in good condition, police said.

The driver was cited for driving without a license, driving without insurance and driving too fast for conditions, police said.
