Man, toddler on bike hit by car in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A 44-year-old man and a 3-year-old girl on a bicycle were struck and injured by a car making a turn in the South Loop Wednesday evening.

Police said at 5:59 p.m., a woman was driving a Subaru crossover vehicle east on Roosevelt Road when she turned right onto Wabash Avenue.

The driver hit the bicycle – which the man and the little girl were on together, police said.

One, a 44-year-old man, was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital. The 3-year-old girl was taken to Lurie Children's Hospital.

Both were reported in good condition, police said.

The driver was issued a ticket. No other injuries were reported.
