Macy's Gets In Christmas Spirit, Unveils Holiday Window Displays

(CBS) -- Macy's on State Street is continuing a long Chicago tradition, unveiling the holiday window displays Saturday morning.

WBBM's Mike Krauser reports the theme this year is, "The Journey of a Christmas Wish," telling the story of a girl who sends her wish to Santa and taking the viewers to Santa's workshop and along for the ride on his sleigh.

Nancy and Art, from Elgin, were drawn to one element in particular in one of the windows.

"That wooden duck there, my dad who is 91 had a little wooden duck just like that," Nancy said. "We still have it."

"We're looking up and Nancy goes, 'Holy cow the horns are up again,' and it is just such a cool thing to see," Art said. "We were worried when it went from Field's to Macy's but they kept up all the traditions."
