Lyons Home Invasion Ends With 2 Arrests In Englewood

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two home invasion suspects were arrested in Englewood Monday night after police say they led officers on a chase from southwest suburban Lyons.

Two armed suspects entered a home in the 4500 block of Pulaski in Lyons about 7:15 p.m., according to an emailed statement from Lyons town spokesman Ray Hanania.

While the two were in the home, the resident's daughter, who was upstairs at the time, called 911, Hanania said. Police arrived as the two — whose ages and genders were not disclosed — were leaving the home.

The two led Lyons police on an hourlong chase along the Stevenson and Dan Ryan expressways that ended near 65th and Wentworth, Hanania said.

No injuries were reported and charges were pending Monday night, Hanania said.
