Lucky Barber Chair Is 'No Sitting Zone' During Blackhawks Championship Run

(CBS) -- When it comes to hockey, there are all kinds of superstitions, for both fans and players. Examples include playoff beards or a ban on touching the conference trophy, for fear of jinxing the Stanley Cup Final.

CBS 2's Mai Martinez reports on one Naperville barber shop that has a unique superstition of its own.

At Lee's Barber Shop in Naperville, one barber chair is a no sitting zone during any Blackhawks championship run.

The chair -- and the superstition surrounding it -- have become quite the barber shop attraction, even garnering a few Hawks' autographs.

When the Hawks aren't playing in a championship series, owner Mike Densford does make some exceptions to the "no sitting in the chair" rule, especially for another group of guys -- grooms-to-be.

"Maybe pass a little luck to the marriage too," Densford says.

Customers say they don't mind giving up the best seat in the shop if it helps the Hawks win.
