Lost Cat Returned To Owner Who Lived 300 Miles Away
CHICAGO (CBS) -- Thanks to a microchip, Skokie Animal Control has reunited a lost cat with its owner, who lives 300 miles away.

Theodore, the cat, disappeared from his home near St. Louis more than three years ago.
"I was always looking for Theodore," said Samantha Krieger, Theodore's owner. "At least once a week I would drive around, calling his name, because I just couldn't believe he was gone."
Krieger said she could not believe it when she got a call from Skokie Animal Control that Theodore had been found wandering 300 miles from home.
"I was in shock," Krieger said. "I was completely... I never thought I would see him again. Never. Never."
Krieger and officials in Skokie believe that after Theodore disappeared near St. Louis three years ago, somebody picked him up and then moved with him to Skokie.
But Theodore, apparently always on the move, decided to make another break for it.
Until he was found again and a scan of his microchip unveiled his identity.
Krieger said no more outdoor privileges.
