Loser Of Chicago Sports Bet Will Get Super-Humiliated On Sunday
(CBS) -- The Chicago Bears will be, sadly, nowhere to be found on Super Bowl Sunday, but local fans of the two teams that are playing that day will be holding down their own corners of the city.
The bars are just a few blocks apart.
Newport Bar and Grill is where Seahawks fans hang out. Irish Oak is the place for Broncos fans.
And the general managers of those bars have a bet with each other on the Super Bowl.
"It is probably the bet of bets," says Scott Johnston of the Seahawks-oriented Newport Bar.
He says if Seattle wins, his counterpart at Irish Oak must wear a dress next week -- on a very cold evening.
"I get to pick out a dress for him to wear and vice versa if the Broncos win," Johnston says. "I haven't chosen a designer, but I think like a nice pastel blue will bring out the color in his eyes."
"He's copying me," says Seth Gamino of the Irish Oak. "I was saying that first. I told him he has such nice blue eyes that he should wear something light in color, like a summer dress."
Gamino says besides wearing the dress, the loser has to drink Malort, widely regarded as a foul-tasting liqueur.
