Logan Square Chase, Crash Leave Two Teen Girls Injured

(STMW) -- Two 17-year-old girls were hospitalized after they were hit by a car following a chase in the Logan Square neighborhood early Saturday.

About 2 a.m., the two teens were in a Honda Accord that was chasing a Toyota sedan near Logan and Troy, police said.

After the two cars stopped, the teens got out of the Accord. The driver of the Toyota then put the car in reverse and hit them, pinning one underneath, police said.

Both teens were taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, where their conditions had stabilized, police said.

After the crash, four males started beating a fifth male on Troy, a Chicago Police sergeant said at the scene. A 40-ounce bottle could also be seen shattered on the street.
