Woman Hospitalized After Man Hits Her With Vehicle In Logan Square, Police Say

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A woman was hospitalized Sunday night after a man hit her with his vehicle in Logan Square.

Police said at 5:13 p.m., the 57-year-old driver plowed into the woman in the 2900 block of West Logan Boulevard.

The woman was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center for treatment.

The man was taken into custody, and charges were pending late Saturday, police said.

Published reports indicating that the man drove into a group of picnickers and yelled anti-Asian rhetoric were not immediately confirmed.
