Two Robbed At Gunpoint In Logan Square

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Chicago Police issued a community alert early Friday after two people were robbed at gunpoint in the Logan Square neighborhood in the last week.

The robberies were reported about 3:10 a.m. on April 23 in the 2300 block of North Sawyer and about 12:13 a.m. on April 27 in the 2600 block of North Sawyer, police said.

In both robberies, two people approached a victim on the sidewalk and one suspect put a gun to the victim's head while the other took their property, police said.

One suspect was described as a black man between 20 and 30 years old, standing between 5-foot-4 and 5-foot-7 and weighing between 130 and 150 pounds, police said. He had a medium complexion, a sandy-colored afro and was wearing a gray vest and black pants. He also may have worn a black ski cap and a black two-pocket shirt.

The other suspect was described as a black male, standing either 5-foot-9 or 5-foot-10 and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds, police said. He had black hair and wore a loose, blue button-down shirt.
