The PepsiCo Showdown featured players from about 70 schools. Bina is a junior at New Trier and is committed to DePaul. She says it's nice for a girl to be recognized in a major male sport.

"It's really cool for me," she said. "I just think it is a great thing just so they can see that is possible to do anything."

Bina says winning was great but it was really cool to get her award from White Sox outfielder Avisail Garcia before the Sox-Twins game.
