Listen: It's The 31-Year Anniversary Of The Lee Elia Tirade

(CBS) Today marks the 31-year anniversary of one of the greatest tirades in the history of sports, and because it will never get old and because it may be impossible to ever match, we once again present to you the Lee Elia rant.

On April 29, 1983, Cubs manager Elia had just seen his team fall to 5-14 with a loss to the Dodgers when he was asked in a postgame interview about fan support at Wrigley Field. He started in on a rant that has become nothing short of legendary.

The rant was originally captured on tape by just one person: current 670 The Score on-air personality Les Grobstein.

Take a listen below, but a word of warning: It contains a load of derogatory language.
