By Bruce Levine-

(CBS) The Cubs have signed right-handed reliever Jason Motte to a one-year deal, sources told 670 The Score on Monday afternoon, pending a physical.

The 32-year-old Motte had a 4.68 ERA in just 25 innings in 2014. He missed all of 2013 after undergoing right elbow surgery. He saved 42 games for the Cardinals in 2012, when he had a 2.75 ERA and struck out 10.8 batter per nine innings.

Motte has a career 3.03 ERA.

The one-year deal is worth $4.5 million, according to Yahoo Sports. The Cubs haven't yet made the deal official.
