Legendary Auto Dealer Al Piemonte, 83, Has Died
(CBS) – Al Piemonte, a longtime Chicago-area car dealer known for his larger-than-life presence in television commercials, has died.
Todd O' Reilley, a manager at Al Piemonte Ford, confirmed the news to WBBM.
He says Piemonte, 83, died on Wednesday morning due to heart complications.
Al Piemonte is known as somewhat of a local legend in the Chicago area as he appeared in dozens of commercials—with waving hand gestures—and became the official face and voice of the numerous dealerships he owned.
