Man Shot In Lawndale

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot early Tuesday in the Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

At 1:06 a.m., the 35-year-old was at a gas station in the 600 block of South Independence when he heard an argument, then heard gunfire and realized he'd been shot in the foot, according to Chicago Police.

He later walked into Westlake Hospital in Melrose Park, where he was treated and released, police said.
