Body Found In Grand Boulevard Lake In Lake Station, Ind.; Coroner Says Victim Was Stabbed To Death

LAKE STATION, Ind. (CBS) -- A man's body was found floating in Grand Boulevard Lake on Sunday morning in Lake Station, Indiana, and authorities said the man was stabbed to death.

Around 11:50 a.m., Lake Station police responded to a 911 call about a body floating in the lake near a log on the northwest side of Grand Boulevard Lake.

When officers arrived, they found a man's body submerged in shallow water in the lake.

The man was identified as Erik Lozano, 34, of East Chicago, Indiana.

He had been stabbed to death, according to the Lake County Coroner's office.

The Northwest Indiana Major Crimes Task Force was notified.
