Kirk Hinrich Out Against Wizards With A Hamstring Strain

(CBS) Bulls guard Kirk Hinrich won't play Tuesday night against the Wizards as he deals with a left hamstring strain that he suffered in a win against the Raptors on Monday night.

Hinrich left the game in the fourth quarter and after originally being called questionable, he didn't return. Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said after the game that Hinrich would have an MRI to determine the severity of it, and with the second of a back-to-back looming, it made sense to err on the side of caution.

Hinrich's injury comes when the Bulls were nearing full health. Monday marked just the ninth time all season that Chicago had its full starting lineup. Derrick Rose and Taj Gibson returned after missing two games apiece.

Rose (illness), Gibson (ankle), Pau Gasol (chest contusion) and Joakim Noah (ankle) are all probable to play at Washington, the team announced.

After tonight, the Bulls next play when they host the Lakers on Thursday on Christmas Day.
