Kildeer Man Charged With Burglarizing Cars In Arlington Heights

CHICAGO (CBS) -- A northwest suburban man was arrested early Tuesday for burglarizing vehicles in Arlington Heights.

Around 3 a.m. officers responded to the 1400 block of East Central Road for a report of motor vehicles burglaries in progress, Arlington Heights police said.

Police found 27-year-old Jeremy Swinford walking in the area, and identified him as the offender spotted entering vehicles by the 911 caller, police said. Swinford was taken into custody and transported to the police department.

He was charged with four counts of burglary and two counts of possession of a controlled substance, police said. Court information was not immediately available.
