Jose Abreu Headlines Cast Of Players To Appear At SoxFest

By Bruce Levine-

(CBS) Jose Abreu headlines the list of White Sox players who are scheduled to appear at SoxFest 2015, an event set to be held from Jan. 23-25 in which fans can meet their favorite players. Autograph sessions and interactive events, as well as player and management seminars, are a staple of the weekend festivities. A garage sale of White Sox equipment and other memorabilia are another attraction.

Other players scheduled to attend are Adam Eaton, Tyler Flowers, Conor Gillaspie, Avisail Garcia, Jake Petricka, Jose Quintana and Alexei Ramirez. Manager Robin Ventrua, pitching coach Don Cooper and hitting coach Todd Steverson will also be in attendance.

Members of the 2005 World Series championship team will also be in attendance. Additional current and former White Sox players who also will attend the event will be announced at a later date.

To date, the White Sox haven't announced if ace pitcher Chris Sale or recently retired star first baseman Paul Konerko will be attending.

In an attempt to appease and please their fans, the White Sox have lowered the cost of weekend passes to SoxFest 2015 by 45 percent. The White Sox are offering new options such as a $40 weekend pass and a new children's pass for $20.
The event will be held at the Chicago Hilton and Towers, a spacious venue that has more to offer in ballroom space than previous venues. For more details on tickets and such, visit whitesox.com/SoxFest.
