Woman Attacked While Jogging In River North

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago police were warning women who run downtown, after a jogger was attacked in the River North neighborhood over the weekend.

The woman was running in the 200 block of West Kinzie Street around 5:50 a.m. Saturday, near the Merchandise Mart, when she was attacked.

Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect who followed the woman, grabbed her, choked her, and threw her to the ground.

Someone came by in the middle of the attack, and scared the man off.

Police provided only a vague description of the suspect, who is believed to be about 25 years old, 5-foot-6 to 5-foot-10, with a medium build.
