Jewel Evacuated In Morgan Park Due To Refrigerant Leak

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Chicago firefighters were responding Saturday afternoon to a level one hazmat due to a refrigerant leak at a grocery store in Morgan Park.

The Jewel at 11700 Marshfield was evacuated before fire officials arrived, Chicago Fire Department officials said.

The small leak from a refrigeration unit was quickly contained, and CFD crews were only on scene for about 30 minutes, according to CFD.

No one was injured.
