Jermon Bushrod, Pernell McPhee Miss Bears Practice

By Chris Emma--

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (CBS) -- Bears starting left tackle Jermon Bushrod missed Tuesday's practice because of a back injury, coach John Fox said. Bushrod was in uniform to start the practice before leaving the field.

In Bushrod's place, second-year pro Charles Leno manned left tackle. Leno started at right tackle in Saturday's preseason win against the Colts. Jordan Mills, who is a second-teamer on the depth chart, worked at right tackle Tuesday.

"He just missed practice, so we have to put somebody else in there," Fox said. "It's actually good to get guys in different spots."

Additionally, linebacker Pernell McPhee missed practice with a chest injury, and receivers Alshon Jeffery (calf) and Marquess Wilson (hamstring) remained out.

The Bears return to work on Wednesday at Halas Hall.
