Jed Hoyer On Cubs: 'As Good Of A Clubhouse Environment As I've Ever Been Around'

(CBS) Cubs general manager Jed Hoyer isn't sure how Wednesday night's wild-card contest against the Pirates will play out, but he knows his team's ready.

"That's kind of one of the beauties of this team -- you look at the highlight video, and it hasn't been the same guys over and over," Hoyer said in an interview on the Spiegel and Goff Show on Wednesday. "It's going to be a collection of different people who are having big games and big nights to help us.

"It really has been as good of a clubhouse environment as I've ever been around. Joe (Maddon) and his staff do a great job. Our veterans, led by David Ross, do a great job. And so, it's a wonderful vibe on the team. It has been all year."
