Jail Program Worker Accused Of Having Sex With Inmate

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A literacy program instructor at Cook County Jail has been charged with misconduct for allegedly engaging in sex acts with a female inmate.

Lester Hill, 27, is accused of having sex with a 23-year-old detainee of the jail on Jan. 13 and 15, according to a statement from the Cook County Sheriff's office.

Hill had worked since May 2013 as an instructional facilitator for PACE Institute, a division of the Safer Foundation, which provides voluntary adult literacy and GED classes for jail detainees, the statement said.

Hill, a Chicago resident, was arrested Wednesday at the jail. He faces one count of custodial sexual misconduct, a class 3 felony, police said.

He was scheduled to appear in court Friday.
