J.R. Smith's Daughter Told A National TV Audience She Was Glad Her Dad Wasn't Kicked Off Team

(CBS) This was a moment they'll recall for years in the Smith household.

Before the Cavaliers' victory against the Warriors in Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday evening, the daughter of Cleveland guard J.R. Smith found her way into ESPN's pregame coverage. And when the microphone found its way to young Demi, she delivered a line for the ages.

"I'm just proud of him because he made the championship without getting kicked off the team," Demi told ESPN's Lindsay Czarniak.

Smith, of course, has been a bit of a wild card in his career, with some rocky times with the Knicks and Nuggets. He got a kick out of his daughter's comments.
