ISP Trooper Among 3 Injured In Crash On Eisenhower Expressway

CHICAGO (CBS)-- An Illinois state trooper and two other people were injured in a crash on the Eisenhower Expressway.

The trooper had stopped to help a driver whose car caught fire on the outbound Ike near Harlem.

The trooper and driver were sitting in the squad car, when it was rear-ended.

All three people suffered minor injuries.

State police plan to charge the driver who hit the trooper's car with violating Scott's Law, designed to protect first responders in Illinois.
