Indianapolis Man Charged In Park Manor Shooting

CHICAGO (CBS) -- An Indianapolis man has been charged with shooting another man during an argument Sunday night in the Park Manor neighborhood on the South Side.

Cornell Wyrick, 24, faces one felony count of aggravated battery, according to Chicago Police.

About 10:15 p.m. on Sunday, Wyrick was involved in an argument with a 20-year-old man in the 7200 block of South Prairie when he pulled out a handgun and opened fire, police said.

The man was shot in the abdomen and leg, police said.

Wyrick, of the 1700 block of South Greighton Drive in Indianapolis, was later identified as the shooter and arrested, police said.

He is scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
