Des Plaines gets new image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
DES PLAINES, Ill. (CBS) -- An upgraded image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was unveiled in Des Plaines Monday evening.
The new Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe was unveiled following a mass and procession at the Chapel of St. Joseph, 1170 N. River Rd.
The shrine was gifted by the cardinal of Mexico City, and will now serve as the permanent image.
The former shrine will be preserved at the church.
